32 - bit Microcontrollers for Automotive Applications
نویسنده
چکیده
A new family of Atmel AVR low-power 32-bit microcontrollers provides higher processing performance, improved accuracy, and more power efficiency for automotive applications. These enhancements enable implementation of new product-differentiating features such as advanced control algorithms, voice control, and capacitive touch sensing (see figure 1). The Atmel AVR UC3C 32-bit microcontroller includes innovations such as a peripheral event system, precision clocking, and high-performance peripherals. Integrated features—such as secure Flash memory, hardware-based safety mechanisms, the ability to interface directly with analog sensors, and a configurable software framework—significantly accelerate application development. 32-bit Performance for Advanced Processing

Real-Time Benchmarks for Automotive Applications
To make an informed choice among the available embedded microcontrollers for automotive applications, designers need benchmarks that are specific to these applications and provide a realistic representation of how the device will perform in the automotive environment. This class gives an overview of the challenges of developing such benchmarks, the hardware required for their implementation, an...
متن کاملFull-Size High-Security ECC Implementation on MSP430 Microcontrollers
In the era of the Internet of Things, smart electronic devices facilitate processes in our everyday lives. Texas Instrument's MSP430 microcontrollers target low-power applications, among which are wireless sensor, metering and medical applications. Those domains have in common that sensitive data is processed, which calls for strong security primitives to be implemented on those devices. Curve2...

متن کاملChaskey: An Efficient MAC Algorithm for 32-bit Microcontrollers
We propose Chaskey: a very efficient Message Authentication Code (MAC) algorithm for 32-bit microcontrollers. It is intended for applications that require 128-bit security, yet cannot implement standard MAC algorithms because of stringent requirements on speed, energy consumption, or code size. Chaskey is a permutation-based MAC algorithm that uses the Addition-RotationXOR (ARX) design methodol...
متن کاملHigh-speed Curve25519 on 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit microcontrollers
This paper presents new speed records for 128-bit secure elliptic-curve Diffie-Hellman key-exchange software on three different popular microcontroller architectures. We consider a 255-bit curve proposed by Bernstein known as Curve25519, which has also been adopted by the IETF. We optimize the X25519 key-exchange protocol proposed by Bernstein in 2006 for AVR ATmega 8-bit microcontrollers, MSP4...
